As our first foray into expanding Stemville, In 2025 Stemville expanded into Detroit with a temporary pop-up location created in partnership with Bedrock. Over six months, the space introduced hands-on STEM learning experiences to local families and children, allowing us to connect with the Detroit community through word of mouth and social media support.

Our Story
The journey of Stemville began when co-founders Kristin Arneson and Andreea Harrington, both moms, recognized a need for something different in the children’s play space market. They saw an opportunity to bring STEM-based principles into an open play environment, combining engaging activities and exploration with early exposure to science, technology, engineering, and math. The result was an immersive STEM Play Center that proved both joyful for kids and sustainable for operators. Their success in Michigan became the foundation for a replicable national franchise model now ready for growth.
